Miles Barber has responsibility for a wide variety of clients in the 'owner managed' environment and also heads up the firm’s 'not for profit' client sector and acts for substantial charities, foundations and professional institutions in an audit and advisory capacity. He has acted for national charities such as the the Leonard Cheshire Foundation, Sadler's Wells Theatre, the Civic Trust and the London Library as well as professional bodies such as the Royal Aeronautical Society, the International Psychoanalytical Association and the Institute of Healthcare Engineering. His commercial clients include V&A Enterprises, two quoted companies and a number of owner managed businesses
As well as providing routine audit and accounting services, he regularly leads consultancy assignments and strategic redirection for clients. He is currently a trustee of Kidscape, the children's charity, a Governor of the Bishopsgate Foundation, and a trustee of the City Parochial Foundation.
Miles is also a leading member of the Moore Stephens UK Charities Services Division, which brings together partners and senior staff throughout the UK with in-depth knowledge and experience of the charities sector, and co-ordinates the provision of a wide range of services to both large national and small local charities. He has lectured and written on various issues concerning the charities sector.
Miles has spent his entire professional career with Moore Stephens and was made partner in 1978.
