Procrastination is the thief of time and we are well aware of the needs of our clients to meet their deadlines. Sometimes, during case preparation, clients and their legal advisors are unsure of the possible commercial benefits of expert advice and the attendant likely costs. This doubt can cause delays that erode the precious work time available, crucial to success. Our Limited Scope Initial Assessment can overcome this.
Having ascertained that we have no conflicts of interest, we will meet with you to discuss the particular issues of the case. We make no charge for this meeting. Subject to agreement of a nominal fixed fee, we will consider the case and prepare our Limited Scope Initial Assessment report.
Typically, we will:
- assess the available material;
- identify the key financial issues of the case.
We will also:
- set out a strategy for carrying out any additional work suggested, and any additional material required;
- indicate the estimated time required to carry out such additional work;
- set out the work experience of our proposed team members; and
- provide an estimate of the costs of carrying out such additional work.
Whilst there can be obscure issues which need to be addressed, and which only become apparent once we have commenced any subsequent work, our Limited Scope Initial Assessment service is a fast, low cost, method of determining the best way forward.
In our experience, many assignments arise where assistance is required on a straightforward issue, but within the context of an overall complex case. Under those circumstances, we will always provide you with our assessment of the focussed work we need to do during our initial meeting.
