Moore Stephens LLP are currently recruiting for a learning and development manager.
 
As learning and development manager you will have responsibility for identifying and meeting training and development needs to support the firm’s business objectives, as well as measure the effectiveness of the interventions used.
 
You will have experience of leading and delivering training programmes, covering a wide range of subjects, using a variety of techniques.  This will involve the design and delivery of both technical and soft skills training courses to staff, as well as producing appropriate training materials.
 
Main responsibilities of the role will be to:
 
• Assist HR colleagues, department heads and line managers in the identification of training and development needs as part of the firm’s performance management process
• Measure the effectiveness of training and development in terms of reaction, learning and impact on the commercial success of the firm
• Develop and achieve relevant sections of the HR business strategy
• Assist the HRD in producing the annual training budget and to be responsible for monitoring and reporting of the training budget to the HRD.
• Help develop a proactive learning and development team and structure, that is recognised by the business as producing tangible results
• To assist with the development of graduate trainees to pursue professional qualifications and support the business objectives
• Give talks and liaise with relevant student groups and Institutes to promote Moore Stephens LLP
• Assist the compliance department by regular reporting on the status of attendance of regulated courses and CPD
• Responsible for developing professional trainees during their training contracts and assisting in the identification and retention of identified talent
• Review the appropriateness of graduate selection criteria and methods and provide training to those involved in the process where necessary
• Remedy exam underperformance by applying the firm’s policies and procedures
• Responsible for organising three annual conferences for Moore Stephens UK firms (MS UK Tax conference, MS UK General Training Conference, MS South East Corporate Recovery Conference).
 
You will be an experienced and dynamic learning and development manager, with excellent delivery skills.  The ability to proactively provide solutions in a variety of situations is essential.  Ideally you will be CIPD qualified and have experience of working within an accountancy / partnership environment

Human Resources - L&D Officer – RAF:  504

 

Moore Stephens LLP London office is looking to recruit a Learning and Development Officer within the Human Resources department.
 
The purpose of the role is to identify and develop training needs to support the firm’s business objectives. 
The core responsibilities for the role will be (although not limited to):
 
• Design and develop training and development programmes, based on both the firm’s and the individual's needs
• Work with the L&D Manager on designated course development initiatives and, when needed, special projects - Participate in the continued development and improvement of current training modules
• Develop and deliver classroom based personal and management skills training. Current programme includes time management and appraisal skills
• Develop, and on occasions deliver classroom based IT skills training - Current programme includes MS Office and internal Practice Management System (PMS)
• Manage training relationships with a number of key internal departments
• Analyse training needs using various methods
• Produce training materials for in-house courses
• Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment
• Help line managers and external trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
 
If you are looking to apply to the role, you will ideally have a minimum of 1 year experience in designing and delivering a wide range of training courses to a diverse audience, from trainees to support staff to partners, across a full range of business groups.  You will also have hands-on IT skills to complement training design and delivery.    You will be able to build and maintain relationships and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
