Welcome to our Insurance Regulatory eBulletin

Welcome to this edition of our Insurance Regulatory eBulletin, which aims to keep you updated with significant regulatory developments and their implications across the insurance sector.

A relatively quiet month. However, we expect the pace of regulatory activity to pick up as we move into autumn, with a particular focus on Brexit. The complexity of Brexit planning was underlined in an admission by Lloyd’s that it might lose the ability to underwrite treaty reinsurance from the German and Polish markets despite its new Brussels subsidiary. Meanwhile, firms will have been focusing on final preparations for the IDD, which takes effect on 1 October, and we await with interest the FCA’s update on its wholesale insurance brokers market study.

I hope you enjoy reading this latest update. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or your normal Moore Stephens contact if you have any concerns over any matter highlighted in this update.
