Welcome to our Insurance Regulatory eBulletin

Welcome to this edition of our Insurance Regulatory eBulletin, which aims to keep you updated with significant regulatory developments and their implications across the insurance sector.

A very quiet month for the regulators probably reflecting the time of the year. EIOPA has issued discussion papers on insurance systemic risk, macro-prudential policy and on the future of insurance guarantee schemes in the EU. The PRA has confined itself to some technical changes to both the Solvency II framework and to the implementation of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime. The FCA has set out some proposals for a Global Financial Innovation Network regulatory ‘sandbox’ and on regulating claims management companies. Meanwhile the UK government issued its notice on the consequences of a no-deal Brexit on the financial services industry which contained little by way of a surprise.
