Carolyn started with Moore Stephens in 1997 as an Audit Senior with the East Midlands (UK) member firm before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1998. She was appointed Associate in 2003 and was made Partner at the Peterborough office in July 2008.

Carolyn now specialises in Corporate Taxation as well as managing a mixed portfolio of clients. Her clients range from individuals and sole traders to international groups of companies and she enjoys the variety of work this brings.

Having had the normal background of audit and accounts preparation, particularly with reference to family owned businesses, she is now also involved in the Charity and Not for Profit sector.  She has relinquished the Chair, but maintains an involvement with the Peterborough Prohelp group which provides professional services to local charities on a pro bono basis.

Carolyn has helped with the growth and expansion of businesses using both standard financial methods and grant applications, having worked closely with a client to successfully obtain grant funding to assist with the purchase of new premises. Carolyn has provided due diligence reports for clients considering buying and selling businesses, advised on share restructure options and buy-backs, assisted companies with expert witness reports in support of contract non-performance claims .
