London office
The London office of Moore Stephens has an annual intake into each of the following business groups:
Audit Service Group (ASG): this is the largest intake each year and provides staffing to two of the firm's main audit groups - IBG (international business group and shipping) and FPGB (finance, property and general business). The clients serviced by these groups range enormously in terms of their size and industry spread. Over the first two years of your training contract, your work experience will derive from clients across all these groups. In your third year, and building on the foundation of this broad experience, you have the opportunity to join one of these groups to start to develop an area of expertise. Business Tax: trainees entering this group spend three years working on the corporate tax affairs of the full range of the firm's clients. This can include general compliance and also tax consultancy on specialist areas such as shipping, international business and mergers and acquisitions. Insurance Industry Group: With a century of experience in the insurance sector, it is probably not surprising that we are viewed as one of the leading advisors to the industry. Our insurance clients around the world benefit from our knowledge of the industry, its accounting systems and policies, and its rapidly developing regulatory framework. Private Clients: trainees coming in to this group spend three years working on the tax affairs of our personal clients who include a large number of high net worth individuals with significant wealth to manage. The work can range from completing tax returns to consulting on the most tax efficient remuneration strategies for client companies. Public Sector Audit: this group provides audit and consultancy services to public sector bodies within the UK, the EU and worldwide. Trainees spend the majority of their three years working on the external audits of public bodies including central government and education; a lot of this work is done in liaison with the National Audit Office. Guildford office
The Guildford office provides audit, tax and general business advisory services in the south east of England.
Clients range in size from individuals to multi-million pound plcs and in industry sector from pension schemes to magazine publishers and from property companies to fine art traders.
Trainees get exposure to the full range of these clients and build skills in audit, accounting, payroll and tax. After qualification several trainees have taken secondments in Europe and Australasia before continuing their careers in Guildford.

North London office
The North London office provides audit, tax and general business advisory services to commercial and personal clients in North London and the northern home counties.
Clients range in size from individuals to multimillion pound groups and cover a wide range of industry sectors, such as large retailers, property companies, IT and telecommunications businesses, food production and healthcare groups.
Students get exposure to the full range of these clients and will build skills in audit, accounting and other business advisory areas.
