Francis Moore named in eprivateclient's Top 35 Under 35

Francis Moore, a 33-year-old associate director in Moore Stephens’ Private Client Services team, has been named as one of the Top 35 Under 35 by eprivateclient, the leading website and news service for private client practitioners.

Francis received his Top 35 Under 35 award at a champagne reception in the City at the Cazenove Capital offices last Thursday.

“I’m delighted to be named on the list,” Francis says. “It’s good to get the Moore Stephens name out there and raise the firm’s profile even further.”

Francis specialises in tax planning and compliance issues associated with high net-worth individuals, in particular those who are not domiciled in the UK. This includes advice on remittances to the UK, as well as offshore structure issues and resident and planning concerns for those coming to and leaving the UK.

The Top 35 Under 35 identifies, recognises, and promotes the rising stars of the private client professions. It also provides an opportunity for the Top 35 men and Top 35 women to meet each other at organised events over the next 12 months.

As Francis notes, this has been rather “a good year” for him. In June he was also named as a rising talent in the Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 ranking for 2018.

The secret to Francis’s success perhaps lies in the fact that he really enjoys what he does. “My work is all about addressing issues that matter to clients,” he says. “You get a sense you can help people, which is nice. I also enjoy the individuality and diversity of the work. Every time you get a phone call or attend a meeting, you never quite know what you are going to be asked about.”

There are, of course, some issues that tend to crop up more often at certain times. “The main issue at the moment is residency, whether people are thinking about leaving or coming to the UK, and the advice they need in relation to that,” Francis says.

Francis is the great grandson of the founder of Moore Stephens and joined the firm’s Private Client team in 2010.
