Charities Against Fraud Awards 2018 officially open for entries

Has your charity been instrumental in tackling fraud? Enter the awards!

We’re pleased to be supporting the Charities Against Fraud Awards again this year, which is specifically designed to recognise excellence in tackling fraud within the charity sector.

After a successful launch last year, which saw Macmillan Cancer Support and Saga Charitable Trust recognised for their individual efforts tackling fraud, the awards are into their second year and now officially open to entries. The awards not only offer charities the opportunity to showcase their outstanding contributions in the fight against fraud, but also help to raise awareness of the importance of the issue within the not-for-profit sector. Sharing examples of best practice in this way is pivotal to tackling fraud and benefits the sector as a whole, helping to improve resilience.

The awards will again take place as part of the Charity Fraud Awareness Week – a dedicated week-long campaign aimed at encouraging those working within or supporting the charity and voluntary sectors to become more fraud aware and resilient.

Winners will not only receive well-deserved recognition for their efforts tackling fraud, but will also win a tailored half day fraud awareness training workshop for their staff conducted by Moore Stephens’ specialist Counter Fraud team. The workshop will focus on how the risk of fraud can be reduced, the detailed content will be agreed with the winners to ensure the session is tailored to the individual charity’s specific needs.

The awards are free to enter and open to all UK registered charities. The deadline for entries is 17.00 on Friday 28 September 2018.
