Moore Stephens grows Outsourcing team with new Director

Maria is joining from Strictly Education, the UK's leading education-specific provider of professional support services and solutions. There, she managed 45 staff controlling over 1,000 payrolls, and processed in excess of 70,000 payslips per month. She grew turnover, profit and business four-fold, before becoming Sales Director in April 2016 following an MBO.
Maria has led the growth of several payroll and HR departments, to introduce efficiencies to improve costs and maximise potential. Throughout her career, Maria has supported a wide range of clients, with payrolls from one to 64,000 members of staff.
Maria spent 13 years within the Bond group of companies, initially with Team Spirit Software and Headcount Services Ltd (HCS) as a General Manager, before joining Strictly Education in 2009.
Maria will be based at Moore Stephens’ Reading office, but will be providing payroll services to both public and private sector companies and groups across both Thames Valley and London. As part of the Outsourcing team’s expansion, Maria will focus particularly on new technological solutions to improve efficiency in outsourcing payroll.
Miles Hewitt-Boorman, Head of Thames Valley, and National Head of Outsourcing at Moore Stephens, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Maria to the team – we are confident that her expertise in payroll systems and services will enhance our growing team.”
Maria comments: “I am delighted to join Moore Stephens at such an exciting time for technological advancement in payroll.
“Previously, payroll was seen as a secondary service, but Moore Stephens has been expanding its advisory network to include HR and payroll in its core services. The firm is a budding, one-stop-shop for management, and I look forward to being a part of it.”
