We are registered with Nominet and are able to register Internet domain names in the .uk domain area. This service is only undertaken for registered clients of Moore Stephens LLP and other member firms of Moore Stephens International Limited. A standard charge of £10.00 excl VAT is charged to client disbursements. We will only register domain names in the .uk area in respect of businesses or individuals registered or living within the United Kingdom and where our identity checks as part of the Money Laundering Regulations have been completed.
To request a domain name, please e-mail Michael Bruce or Andrew Black stating:
- Your name (for individual registrations) or company name for business, charily or other organisational details, as appropriate.
- Your account number with Moore Stephens and the location of our office that you normally deal with
- The name of the domain that you want to register
- The type of registration (Individual, Business or Charity)
- If you are registering in respect of a Limited company, then we require your Companies House registration number
- The names of the Technical and Administrative contacts at your organisation or location whose details we are require to register with Nominet.
- Confirmation that you have read Nominet's terms and conditions.
Process
After confirming your details with your client liaison partner, we will check to see if the domain that you require is available. If it is, then registration will normally be completed within 1 hour of acknowledgement of your request. The address of the registration will be taken from the details on our Practice Management system. You will be notified by return e-mail of the status of your application. Unless we are notified to the contrary, the registration will be set to renew every year, with the renewal charge being applied to your account one month before the renewal anniversary.
