Before I apply

1. What are the minimum requirements?

If you are applying for our CFAB or ATT programme the minimum requirements are 5 GCSE's grade A*-C with a B or above in English Language and Maths, and 300 UCAS points, achieved across three A-Levels (or international equivalent) sat within the same academic year not including General Studies. 

If you are applying for our AAT programme the minimum requirements are 5 GCSE's grade A*-C with a C or above in English Language and Maths, and 260 UCAS points, achieved across three A-Levels (or international equivalent) sat within the same academic year not including General Studies. 2. I do not meet the specified minimum requirements; can I still apply?

Unfortunately, if you do not meet the minimum requirements, you will not be able to progress through the pre-screen form to submit an online application.

However, if you feel you have extenuating circumstances for not meeting our academic requirements, please progress through the pre-screen and provide further details within the application form. We reserve the right to request formal documentation of these mitigating circumstances. Return to the top.


3. Can I apply if I need a work permit or work visa?

Unfortunately unless you have a current work visa, which will be valid for the period of the entire training contract without the requirement for renewal, we will not be able to progress your application. Return to the top.


4. Do you offer work experience?

At the present time, unfortunately, we do not offer work experience opportunities. Return to the top.

My application

1. What is the selection process?

There are four stages to the Moore Stephens school leaver application process;

1. Application form
The first stage is to apply using our online application form. All application forms are read and assessed by a member of our Graduate Resourcing Team. 

2. Review
We will review your application and give each area a score, if you are successful in meeting our minimum criteria in all areas you will be considered for an assessment centre.

We will also contact you via email if you have not met our minimum selection criteria, and as such will be unable to progress your application further.

3. Assessment Centre
Assessment centres are normally held from April - June, they are an opportunity for you to learn more about the firm and the department you are looking to join, as well as demonstrate your strengths to us. Our assessment centres include;

• presentations about the firm, the qualifications and training contract;
• an interview with a partner or manager;
• a tour of our offices;
• two assessments; and
• an opportunity to meet current trainees.

Remember, assessment centres are a great opportunity for you to learn more about us, as well as the other way round, so come prepared with your questions!

4. Outcome
You will be pleased to know that the assessment centre is the final stage of the process. We know you’ll be keen to learn the outcome, so we aim to inform you of the results within a week of meeting us. Return to the top.


2. I have submitted my application when can I expect to hear from you?

We have two intakes per year, September and January. 

We endeavour to respond to applicants as quickly as possible, please take a look at our Selection Process to find out where you are in the application process. Please note we do wait for our roles to close before inviting successful candidates to assessment centre. Return to the top.
 

3. My application was unsuccessful, how long do I need to wait before I reapply?

In you were unsuccessful at any point in the application process you will need to wait 12 months from the date you were rejected to reapply. Return to the top.
 

4. What is the interview format?

The interview will include discussion of your application form as well as competency based questions. Return to the top.
 

5. Do you provide feedback?

Unfortunately due to the volume of applicants we cannot provide further feedback for candidates who were unsuccessful during the application process.
