Michaela, Outsourcing, London

Tell us about yourself:
I have worked at Moore Stephens for almost two years. Prior to joining I was studying the AAT part time at my local college.

What’s your experience of Moore Stephens been so far?
My experience has broadened my knowledge of the accounting industry, which I have been lucky enough to have exposure to at such an early stage in my career. I have also had the opportunity to apply my studies to real life scenarios.

Working in the Outsourcing department has provided me the knowledge to be able to understand a variety of clients and their business’, ranging from Aviation to the wine industry.

What’s the social life like?
The social life is a lot of fun. We like to plan many team outings going to lots of exciting London social scenes.

What’s been your biggest challenge?
Trying to find a balance between work and study has been challenging at times, but I have been able to quickly pick up the perfect method that allows me to exceed in both.

What will your next career move be?
My next career move will be to focus on becoming MAAT qualified followed by ACCA.

If you were to give someone one reason to join Moore Stephens what would it be?
Moore Stephens is the perfect place to study and learn on the job, as the support network throughout the entire firm is highly motivational. Everyone has been, or is going, through the same experience so is happy to help guide you along the way.
