Claire, Corporate audit, London

Tell us about yourself:
I joined Moore Stephens as a school leaver in September 2015 after finishing my A-Levels in maths, further maths and politics. I joined in the London office in the Corporate audit department within Property management.

What’s your experience of Moore Stephens been so far?
I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of jobs including visiting client offices around London. My managers have given me continuous support throughout, and I receive feedback after every job I complete.

What’s the social life like?
In Audit, there are always drinks happening each Friday after work, and on the Friday after payday there is usually a big night out. Moore Stephens hosts an annual Christmas party, and there is also a summer party being planned for this year. The firm also organises lots of charity events for everyone get involved with including a fire walk, dress down days and the sports relief mile.

What’s been your best moment?
My best moment at Moore Stephens was being able to complete a service charge with no assistance for the first time and receiving good feedback. This was a challenging but rewarding experience, and showed how much I have learnt and my improvement of skills since I started.

What’s been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge was trying juggle having a full time job whilst trying to study for exams and have a social life. This was especially challenging for me as I am a school leaver so didn’t have the university years to adapt.

If you were to give someone one reason to join Moore Stephens what would it be?
There are many reasons to join Moore Stephens including the friendly and supportive environment, feeling like part of a team and being able to participate in a variety of charity events.
